Songwriter/Producer Larry Clark Prepares For Solo Release

Detroit, MI -- The Clark name is synonymous with Gospel Music. Legendary Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and multi-award winning Clark Sisters have laid a foundation for countless aspiring gospel artists.  This also holds true for their direct lineage.  Rising gospel songwriter and producer Larry Clark is following in the footsteps of his Grandmother Mattie Moss Clark and Mother Denise Clark. 

In August 2000, the debut release of The Clark Brothers' album "We Need Your Love" was Larry Clark's first release as a singer, songwriter, and producer.  In 2011 Clark's record company, Larry Clark Gospel, inked a distribution deal with Central South/Infinity Music.  The label's inaugural release was Twinkie Clark's With Humility project which boasted a Top 30 radio single ("God's Got A Blessing") and a 2012 Stellar Award nomination.  Now, Clark is set to release his debut solo CD Antidote In Audio Summer of 2012.

Antidote In Audio includes a wide range of genres; traditional, hip hop, acoustic soul and pop ballads.  The project also features a duet with Twinkie Clark on the classic favorite "Soon and Very Soon" (written by Andrae Crouch).  The first radio single "Promised To Stay" released January 2 and is impacting gospel radio now.

Shooting for Awesome God by Twinkie Clark featuring Larry Clark was completed in March 2011 with the video set for release on March 15 2011. The song is the second single from the artist's upcoming project With Humility slated for release on April 2011. The video was shot in Detroit, MI at Peace and Goodwill. It also features lead actress Alaina Mayfield. Pastor Mark Holloway and Taron Ackles as the male counterparts and The Cathedral Voices as the choir. The video was produced by Jason Kuehn and directed by Ryan Betzler.

Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark, the woman considered the heart and soul of the Clark Sisters, has been the creative force in shaping the vibrant sound that has become the Clark Sisters hallmark (more affectionately known as the ‘Clark Sound’). In the history of Gospel music, she has quickly become a legend in her own right.

Her legacy continues with the new "With Humility" project that is both a tribute to her ministry and a tribute to her musical root, which is her parents.  The suitably titled project not only includes never before heard footage of her mother, a tribute to her father & her nephews Larry Clark (the album's producer) & The Clark Brothers but it is also the perfect representation of her entire music career showing her versatility and the wide scope of sub-genres she influences & utilizes in her art form. This means her entire fan base of three generations will enjoy the project.

The first project to be released on the Larry Clark Gospel Label will be distributed in the U.S.A. and in Canada by Infinity Music Distribution. Launched in January 2005 the company is based in Nashville, TN under the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit of God Almighty!! It all began in 2004 when Christian music industry veterans, Jason Hollis & Rick Greene began to pray about starting a new Christian distribution company. After much prayer and truly listening to what God had placed in their hearts, one year later God put together a company that would be led by the Holy Spirit and not just business as usual to revolutionize the Christian Music Industry forever! God placed the company at one of Christian music’s one-stop giants; Central South Distribution to partner with them. In 2006 Michelle Morrow joined the team to be the label liaison to all of the artists at Infinity/Central South Distribution. The call has been clear to reach out to the youth throughout the world through various artists in rock, hip-hop, urban, and reggae styles of music to really hit them where they live with a message of hope and love that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
